Our Mission

The mission of the Friends of Palmer (FOP) is to enhance and support the educational experience at Palmer Elementary School, to develop a closer connection between school and home by encouraging parent involvement and to improve the environment at Palmer through volunteer and financial support.

We provide support

  • Help raise funds to improve Palmer’s facilities and outdoor space

  • Provide support for teachers and educational resources

  • Help raise money to support programs where the CPS budget falls short

We bring the community together

  • Provide opportunities to foster connections between families

  • Host events to get parents engaged and involved in their child’s school

  • Raise awareness of Palmer programs within neighborhood & business community

We keep the community informed

  • Regular email communications with news, event information & announcements

  • Maintenance and regular updates to the Friends of Palmer Facebook Page
